Conservatorships

Conservatorships are the procedure where an adult is appointed by the Court to oversee and be responsible for the personal care and/or finances and assets of another adult who is incapable of making these decisions alone. A conservatorship case requires a hearing, an investigation by a court appointed social worker, notice to all relatives within the second degree of kinship, and periodic accountings and follow-ups with the court.
